Fishing in the Tranquil Waterways
As the city is known for its range of bridges, the whole place is surrounded by stunning rivers and waterways which provides many fishing and water activity opportunities. Fishing was always one of my best things to do in Pittsburgh and these are the best spots in town for it:
- Three Rivers: City’s most iconic waterway which is known for its confluence of the three rivers Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers. Furthermore, it is a prime fishing destination in all of Pittsburgh with fish species like: bass, catfish, walleye, and more.
- North Shore Riverfront Park: This spot is one of my top attractions in Pittsburgh which also offers many amazing spots for fishing alongside scenic views of Downtown Pittsburgh. Tight your lines for catching some bass, trout and even carps.
- Southside Riverfront Park: Another renowned fishing spot in Pittsburgh which provides fishing piers, boat launches and even tranquil riverbank areas for you to cast your ideal line to catch some rare fish species.

One of the most highly acclaimed destinations of Pittsburgh, which is a seven-story museum displaying the life and work of a Pittsburgh native who’s a founding fathers of Pop Arts. The Andy Warhol Museum is one of the must-see spots in Pittsburgh without a doubt.

2. Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art

Taking you to the edge of the universe, Carnegie Science Center is perfect for your family-science adventure. The science center also provides some incredible live exhibits and the Rangos Giant Cinema which is capable of transporting you into another world with its amazing 4k giant screen and immersing sound system.

2. Randyland
Located at the north side, Randyland is a place which you should visit to feel pleasant. You could wander a whole day inside of the place and still won’t be able to see the whole of it. This installation was established by Randy GIlson in 1995 and over the years the whole place grew with art and became a local treasure.
Now, there is so much art installation present inside the establishment which has many subtle details and many of them can be appreciated from various angles.

3. The National Aviary
One of the best places for sightseeing in Pittsburgh and view many rare and unique bird species. With more than 500 stunning birds and mammals from around the world, the National Aviary is a warm and tropical habitat which will make you feel immersed in it.
They provide interactive activities for the visitors such as Tropical Bat hangout or Meet a Tropical Friend which will help you in learning more about different species and know their role in the ecosystem and more.
