What to bring and know before you go

1. Protective Gear

When riding an ATV or a quad, you need protection for your head, eyes, hands, and feet. Although complete safety cannot be guaranteed knowing what to wear and how to wear it can make you feel more comfortable while riding and reduce the chance of injury. Never ride an ATV without a quality helmet, eye protection, boots, gloves, long pants, and a shirt or jacket. The helmet needs to be A DOT-compliant motorcycle helmet, and you may carry Light snacks and drinks if required.

2. What to Wear

Try not to wear anything fancy or expensive as you are sure to get dirty, even if it hasn’t rained or snowed, you will still be covered in dust. And it can easily stick on clothing, leaving behind stains. If it has rained recently, you are pretty much going to be drenched in mud, so wear something cheap [ maybe the clothes you hate] and something you can comfortably move in. It is also a good idea to carry a change of clothes. Make sure to wear fully-toed shoes, preferably boots, but any closed-toed shoes will do the trick.[ again bear in mind the mud while choosing your footwear cause we don’t want your jordans to go to waste]

3. Weather Conditions and Prior Information

Planning your Poconos vacation guide? Lookout for the weather before heading to the tracks because some tracks and trails can be unavailable due to bad weather or holidays.
